Watershed is pleased to be finishing a comprehensive renewable energy plan for one of Canada’s largest residential landlords. Our client has an ambitious goal of reducing GHG emissions by 40% by 2020, and wanted to know the most economical way to use renewable technologies to contribute to this goal.
To write the renewable energy plan, Watershed assembled portfolio data from our client, and embarked on a detailed process of costing and savings estimation for a number of renewable technologies. Geothermal heating and cooling, solar air heating, solar water heating, solar photovoltaic electricity, wind electricity and biomass were all considered as potential technologies. Once the plan is completed in January 2009, Wateshed hopes to be involved in its implementation. If implemented, this plan would be the largest renewable energy deployment by a landlord in Canadian history. Please contact us for more information on our renewable energy planning services.
