Watershed was chosen to designm, manufacture and install over 1100 m2 of air type solar collectors at the Downsview Canadian Forces Base. The system used incident solar radiation to heat two large aircraft hangers. The collectors were mounted vertically on the wall, providing insulation as well as heat directly into the building without thermal storage. This installation remains Canada's largest solar air space heating system.
