Toronto Healthy House (1995)

Watershed reviewed existing concepts for the Toronto Healthy House and developed a complete energy design including passive solar heating and both active and passive thermal mass.

The design included hour by hour modeling of building performance, as well as the design of passive night cooling. Built in Toronto in 1995-96 in conjunction with CHMC and Creative Communities of Toronto, this award-winning house represents a major step forward in reducing residential energy use.
